studio view: late july

I've been hard at work on an exciting work project this month which has got me working outside of my comfort zone. That seems to have translated into my studio work. Here's some sneak peeks at what's going on in my studio this week.

shop update

I threw up a little shop update on the Fourth of July (note the patriotic color scheme). Red and lime ceramic bows AND smaller and more budget friendly constellation screenprints. Happy Summer!

Drawing Center Viewing Program!

yes!
Last month right when things got a little nutty around here I found out I was accepted into the Drawing Center's Viewing Program.
It's a curated slide registry based out of New York, that I've been looking at for years. I'm pretty excited to have my work paired with such other incredible drawers from around the country.

Team Baltimore!

Once More with Spirit!

This Thursday my flags for the ideas of cute, fun, festive, and romantic if those ideas were countries are making their Baltimore Debut as a part of SIGN LANGUAGE at the Whole Gallery in the H+H.

according to the press release:

" Some artists in Sign Language use play to communicate important information, and still others use flags to give weight to seemingly frivolous ideas. Each work takes a particular stand and reminds us that the very gesture of art making is radical."

Using flags to give weight to seemingly frivolous ideas! That's me!

Curated by Hannah Brancato and Jessie Unterhalter, Sign Language includes works by 40 artists and groups from Baltimore and beyond.

The show will be at the Whole Gallery
